7 May

£10 still in the draw! Is it your Lucky Day? It was lucky in 1718 when the city of New Orleans was founded by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne, Sieur de Bienville, and, in 1846, the Cambridge Chronicle, America's oldest surviving weekly newspaper, was published for the first time in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Finally, in 1986, Canadian Patrick Morrow becomes the first person to climb each of the Seven Summits.

Famous people born on this day include Robert Browning, English poet and playwright, born 1812, Eva Perón, Argentinian actress, 25th First Lady of Argentina, born 1919, and Michael Rosen, English author and poet, born 1946. The day has to go to "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" Eva!

My biggest fear in life is to be forgotten.

Time is my greatest enemy.

When the rich think about the poor, they have poor ideas.

I know that, like every woman of the people, I have more strength than I appear to have.

Have a wonderful day!
