1 May

£10 in the draw! Must belong to someone! It really could be your lucky day! It was lucky in 1759 when Josiah Wedgwood founded the Wedgwood pottery company in Great Britain and in 1786, Mozart's opera The Marriage of Figaro was performed for the first time, in Vienna. In 1840, the Penny Black -  the first official adhesive postage stamp – was issued in the United Kingdom and in 1851, Queen Victoria opened The Great Exhibition in London.

Famous people born on this day include Joanna Lumley, English actress, voice-over artist, author and activist, born 1946 and Ray Parker, Jr., American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer, born 1954. The day, of course, goes to the absolutely fabulous Joanna Lumley, if only for Patsy Stone!

The last mosquito that bit me had to book into the Betty Ford Clinic

Put that book down, you're not showing me up.

Darling, if you want to talk bollocks and discover the meaning of life you're better off just downing a bottle of whisky. At least that way you're unconscious by the time you start to take yourself seriously!

Have an absolutely fabulous day my friend!
