8 April

It’s a FRIDAY! A new draw today at 10am! Is it your lucky day? It was a lucky day in on 1820 when the Venus de Milo was discovered on the Aegean island of Milos. In 1904, Longacre Square in Midtown Manhattan was renamed Times Square after The New York Times and in 1908, Harvard University voted to establish the Harvard Business School.

A great day for great women! Vivienne Westwood, English fashion designer, born 1941, Robin Wright, American actress, director, producer, born 1966 and Patricia Arquette, American actress and director, born 1968.

The day, of course, has to go to the wonderful Vivienne Westwood!

“My aim is to make the poor look rich and the rich look poor.”

“You have a more interesting life if you wear impressive clothes.”

“The sexiest people are thinkers. Nobody’s interested in somebody who’s just vain with a hole in their head, talking about the latest thing — there is no latest thing. It’s all rubbish.”

“You’ve got to invest in the world, you’ve got to read, you’ve got to go to art galleries, you’ve got to find out the names of plants. You’ve got to start to love the world and know about the whole genius of the human race. We’re amazing people.”

“It’s a philosophy of life. A practice. If you do this, something will change, what will change is that you will change, your life will change, and if you can change you, you can perhaps change the world.”

Have a lovely lucky day my friend!
