3 April

£10 in the draw! Are you SURE it isn't your lucky day? It was a lucky day for the Marquis of Clydesdale in 1933 as he led the first flight over Mount Everest and in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech. In 1973, Martin Cooper of Motorola made the first handheld mobile phone call to Joel S. Engel of Bell Labs. However, it took ten years for the DynaTAC 8000X to become the first such phone to be commercially released. Finally, in 2010, Apple Inc. released the first generation iPad.

The 3rd of April is a very lucky day for American actors being born with Marlon Brando (born 1924), Alec Baldwin (born 1958) and Eddie Murphy (born 1961). The day, of course, has to go to The Godfather, Marlon Brando:

The only reason I'm in Hollywood is that I don't have the moral courage to refuse the money.

An actor's a guy who, if you ain't talking about him, ain't listening.

If we are not our brother's keeper, at least let us not be his executioner.

Have a great day my friend!
