21 April

£10 in the draw! Is it you? A lucky day in 1934 when the"Surgeon's Photograph", the most famous photo allegedly showing the Loch Ness Monster, was published in the Daily Mail (in 1999, it was revealed to be a hoax). In 1960, Brasília was officially inaugurated as Brazil’s capital. In 1962, the Seattle World's Fair (Century 21 Exposition) opened, the first World's Fair in the United States since World War II.

Famous people born on this day include Charlotte Brontë, English author and poet, born 1816, and Iggy Pop, American singer-songwriter, producer, and actor, born 1947. Which one do I choose to dedicate the day to? Tough decision! I’ll sit on the fence and dedicate it to both!

I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will.

I'm just going to write because I cannot help it.

Better to be without logic than without feeling.

A ruffled mind makes a restless pillow.

I like music that's more offensive. I like it to sound like nails on a blackboard, get me wild.

I'm a little bit damaged in about 15 different ways, and it's been nice that no particular damaged area has become a major issue. I'm a more than moderately healthy 65-year-old male who has gotten away with a lot of stuff.

Studios are like hospitals. A lot of people check in, and they don't check out.

Have a great day! And if it isn't your lucky day today, then check in tomorrow as there is a new draw at 10am!
