17 March

I apologise for everything I said yesterday about the 16th of March being a tough day for lucky events. The 16 of March is a wonderfully lucky day compared to the 17th of March! In 1941, the National Gallery of Art In Washington, D.C., was officially opened by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. And that’s it! Seriously, that’s it! Keep on moving folks, there is nothing to see here … !

Wait! There are actually quite a few famous people born on this day! Phew! Nat King Cole, American singer, pianist, and television host, was born in 1919; Bobby Ewing (aka Patrick Duffy!) was born in 1949; Rob Lowe, American actor and producer, born 1964; and Hozier, Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist, was born on this day in 1990.

But the day is dedicated to an English fashion designer, born on this day in 1969, who won the British Designer of the Year award four times as well as the CFDA's International Designer of the Year award. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Alexander McQueen:

Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.

I find beauty in the grotesque, like most artists.

Wishing you a stylishly lucky day! And thank you for visiting the Free Lucky Day Lottery - your support is greatly appreciated.
