12 February

A day of wonderful lucky events can be found on the 12th of February, starting with Edward Hargraves announcing in 1851 that he had found gold in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, which started the Australian gold rushes. On this day in 1924, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue received its premiere in a concert titled "An Experiment in Modern Music," at the Aeolian Hall, New York, with Gershwin playing the piano. In 1947, Christian Dior unveiled a "New Look", helping Paris regain its position as the capital of the fashion world and on this day in 1990, Carmen Lawrence became the first female Premier in Australian history when she became Premier of Western Australia.

However, the day belongs to the amazing people born on 12 February: Charles Darwin, English geologist and theorist, born on this day in 1809 and on the exact same day and year, Abraham Lincoln, American lawyer and politician plus 16th President of the United States was born. However, the day goes to Anna Pavlovna, Russian-English ballerina and actress born on this day in 1881, who is known for the creation of the role The Dying Swan and became the first ballerina to tour ballet around the world.

"No one can arrive from being talented alone, work transforms talent into genius."

"To follow, without halt, one aim: There's the secret of success."

Wishing you a successful lucky day!

By the way, it's FRIDAY! Yes, this means it is nearly the weekend but it also means a new lucky day has been drawn!
