15 January

Oh, what a wonderfully lucky day! Especially if you are American! Not only was today the day James Naismith published the rules of basketball in 1892, but, in 1967, the first Super Bowl was played in Los Angeles, where the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 35–10. It is also this day in 1889 when the Coca-Cola Company, then known as the Pemberton Medicine Company, was incorporated in Atlanta.

However, the greatest event of all on this day, and not just for America, was the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1929 who said many wise words, including this:

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

Take care on this very lucky day!
